Die Klasse für Fotografie präsentiert eine Auswahl an Arbeiten sowie ein Publikationsprojekt, das aus einer Forschungsreise zur Fotothek des KHI in Florenz hervorgegangen ist. Die Ausstellung Trace versammelt Werke, die die Bedingungen und Wahrnehmungen von Bildproduktion aufzeichnen, markieren und verschieben. Indem sie sich mit der Komplexität, Ambivalenz und Gewalt von Repräsentation, Medien und Archiven auseinandersetzen, nähern sich die Arbeiten diesen Fragen durch unterschiedliche fotografische und skulpturale Strategien. Das Publikationsprojekt versammelt individuelle Beiträge, die jeweils als Edition funktionieren und Material aus der Fotothek des Kunsthistorischen Instituts in Florenz (Max-Planck-Institut) in eine kollektive Publikation überführen. Die Publikation erscheint in einer limitierten Auflage von 20 Exemplaren und ist während der Jahresausstellung zu erwerben.

The class of photography presents a selection of works alongside a publication project developed from a research trip to the Photothek of the KHI in Florence. The exhibition Trace brings together a diverse range of works that record, mark, and shift the conditions and perception of image-making. Addressing the complexity, ambivalence, and violence of representation, media, and archives, the works approach these questions through di erent photographic and sculptural strategies. The publication project assembles individual contributions, each functioning as an edition, that transform material from the Photothek of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence (Max Planck Institute) into a collective publication. Produced in a limited edition of 20 copies, the publication will be available for purchase at the annual exhibition.
