Matter Memory ist der Titel der zweiten Jahresausstellung der Klasse Performance an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in München. Die Reihe TTP – Transition to Practice zielt darauf ab, demokratische Umwandlungsprozesse öffentlich genutzter Orte und Strukturen sichtbar zu machen. Dies erfolgt durch verschiedene performative Aktivierungen rund um die neu geschaffene Tischtennisplatte im Garten der Akademie.
In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Architekten Julian Weckenmann wurde ein Konzept für eine Tischtennisplatte entwickelt, das durch sein Design und Gestaltung neue Interpretationen öffentlicher Strukturen und deren Nutzung ermöglicht.
Die performativen Aktivierungen, die über den Zeitraum von einer Woche während der Jahresausstellung stattfinden, nutzen die Architektur und den umliegenden Raum als Ausgangspunkt einer künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung.
Die Tischtennisplatte wird während der Jahresausstellung und darüber hinaus für Studierende und Besucher:innen frei zugänglich sein.

Eine Serie von Objekten lädt zu einer Begegnung ein, begleitet von einem Soundtrack und Essen. Die Inszenierung eines Grillfestes im öffentlichen städtischen Raum wirft Fragen rund um diese Aktivität als Aneignung des öffentlichen Raums und als Ort der Begegnung für migrantische Gemeinschaften auf.
Das Enactment, unterstützt durch ein Soundstück, bezieht sich auf die Geschichte und die Wahrnehmung von migrantischen Gemeinschaften in Deutschland, aus der Perspektive der spanisch und portugiesisch sprechenden Migration.

A series of objects invites to a gathering, enhanced by a soundpiece and food. This enactment of a barbecue in urban public space raises questions about the appropriation of such spaces and their role as a place of encounter for migrant communities.
This enactment, supported by a sound piece, relates the history and the perception of migrant communities in Germany, from the reading of the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking migration.

Die Reihe TTP – Transition to Practice zielt darauf ab, demokratische Umwandlungsprozesse öffentlich genutzter Orte und Strukturen sichtbar zu machen. Dies erfolgt durch verschiedene performative Aktivierungen rund um die neu geschaffene Tischtennisplatte im Garten der Akademie.
In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Architekten Julian Weckenmann wurde ein Konzept für eine Tischtennisplatte entwickelt, das durch sein Design und Gestaltung neue Interpretationen öffentlicher Strukturen und deren Nutzung ermöglicht.
Die performativen Aktivierungen, die über den Zeitraum von einer Woche während der Jahresausstellung stattfinden, nutzen die Architektur und den umliegenden Raum als Ausgangspunkt einer künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung.
Die Tischtennisplatte wird während der Jahresausstellung und darüber hinaus für Studierende und Besucher:innen frei zugänglich sein.

The TTP - Transition to Practice series aims to make the democratic transformation processes of publicly used places and structures visible. This takes place through various performative activations around the newly created table tennis table in the Academy's garden.
In collaboration with the architect Julian Weckenmann, a concept for a table tennis table was developed that enables new interpretations of public structures and their use through its design and layout.
The performative activations, which take place over a period of one week during the annual exhibition, use the architecture and the surrounding space as a starting point for an artistic exploration.
The table tennis table will be freely accessible to students and visitors during the annual exhibition and beyond.

It is an attempt, a research, a shared table, a test, not a rehearsal.

“Willkommen bei AGA” ist ein Ritual, bei dem nicht nur Menschen Geschichten erzählen, sondern auch vergessene Dinge wiederentdeckt werden können. DE
Die Reihe TTP – Transition to Practice zielt darauf ab, demokratische Umwandlungsprozesse öffentlich genutzter Orte und Strukturen sichtbar zu machen. Dies erfolgt durch verschiedene performative Aktivierungen rund um die neu geschaffene Tischtennisplatte im Garten der Akademie.
In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Architekten Julian Weckenmann wurde ein Konzept für eine Tischtennisplatte entwickelt, das durch sein Design und Gestaltung neue Interpretationen öffentlicher Strukturen und deren Nutzung ermöglicht.
Die performativen Aktivierungen, die über den Zeitraum von einer Woche während der Jahresausstellung stattfinden, nutzen die Architektur und den umliegenden Raum als Ausgangspunkt einer künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung.
Die Tischtennisplatte wird während der Jahresausstellung und darüber hinaus für Studierende und Besucher:innen frei zugänglich sein.

The TTP - Transition to Practice series aims to make the democratic transformation processes of publicly used places and structures visible. This takes place through various performative activations around the newly created table tennis table in the Academy's garden.
In collaboration with the architect Julian Weckenmann, a concept for a table tennis table was developed that enables new interpretations of public structures and their use through its design and layout.
The performative activations, which take place over a period of one week during the annual exhibition, use the architecture and the surrounding space as a starting point for an artistic exploration.
The table tennis table will be freely accessible to students and visitors during the annual exhibition and beyond.

Die Reihe TTP – Transition to Practice zielt darauf ab, demokratische Umwandlungsprozesse öffentlich genutzter Orte und Strukturen sichtbar zu machen. Dies erfolgt durch verschiedene performative Aktivierungen rund um die neu geschaffene Tischtennisplatte im Garten der Akademie.

phenomenon by embodying it, through a backward march. The work arises both as a
convinced protest and a reflection on vulnerability.

The live, 10-minute sculpture “drinking from someone's back” seeks images of dependencies: people, equipped with a hose and a bottle, become links in a longer structure. They attempt a dialog and the production of an ambiguous situation: between individualism and collectivism, between symbiotic support and parasitic taking, between draining interpersonal relationships or global dependencies.

A recording of a sound installation at the former headquarters of Radio Free Europe in Munich. During the
Cold War, dissidents, artists turned reporters, professionals,
and friends were given a platform to share comments,
opinions, and news about what was missing from broadcasts in the former Eastern Bloc. Given their position
between two ideological powers, they essentially played a
crucial role in establishing modern democratic principles
in Eastern Europe. In the installation, the once-avoided
noise of its systemmatically jammed broadcast was reimagined as a notation for vocal improvisation and a data
set for its vectorial alternatives. Originally played on
12.7.2025 at Oettingenstraße 67 in a 10 hours 7.1 sound
installation, accompanied by an eponymous publication;
and part of Public Arts München Annuale 2025. In

Regression is a phenomenon typical of times of crisis. The majority responds to uncertainty
by holding back. Noemi Calzavara asks herself what are the consequences of this
phenomenon by embodying it, through a backward march. The work arises both as a
convinced protest and a reflection on vulnerability.

Juli statt, Treffpunkt ist jeweils um 16 Uhr am Fuß der Haupttreppe vor dem Altbau. X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:In dem Rundgang „(Un)Sichtbare Akademiegeschichten“ werden an verschiedenen Stationen Ausschnitte der Akademiegeschichte vorgestellt, zu denen im Rahmen des gleichnamigen Seminars recherchiert wurde. So werden unter anderem Aspekte zur Baugeschichte und Nutzung der Akademiegebäude sowie der Gartenanlagen thematisiert, was im Rahmen der 68er-Proteste an der Akademie passierte und welche Spuren aus der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus (nicht mehr) zu finden sind.
Der Rundgang wir geleitet von Studierenden und einem Dozenten der Akademie und dauert etwa eine Stunde.

A recording of a sound installation at the former headquarters of Radio Free Europe in Munich. During the
Cold War, dissidents, artists turned reporters, professionals,
and friends were given a platform to share comments,
opinions, and news about what was missing from broadcasts in the former Eastern Bloc. Given their position
between two ideological powers, they essentially played a
crucial role in establishing modern democratic principles
in Eastern Europe. In the installation, the once-avoided
noise of its systemmatically jammed broadcast was reimagined as a notation for vocal improvisation and a data
set for its vectorial alternatives. Originally played on
12.7.2025 at Oettingenstraße 67 in a 10 hours 7.1 sound
installation, accompanied by an eponymous publication;
and part of Public Arts München Annuale 2025. In
