Walter Benjamin und Asja Lācis betrachteten das Zuhause, die private Sphäre, als ein
„unerschöpfliches Reservoir“ des Lebens, das in den kollektiven Raum hinaus strömt. In
ihrem Essay über Neapel schrieben sie über die poröse Dualität von Innen und Außen,
inspiriert von der lebendigen Stadt. Die Arbeiten der Studierenden der Klasse erkunden die
fließenden Übergänge zwischen Privat und Öffentlich, Individuum und Gesellschaft. Ihre
Werke zeigen Fragmente gelebter Wirklichkeit, die die Besuchenden leise begleiten – wie
sanfte Schritte im gemeinsam geteilten Raum, in dem das Private und das Öffentliche eine
informelle Architektur beleben.

Walter Benjamin and Asja Lācis viewed the home, the private sphere, as an “inexhaustible
reservoir” of life pouring out into the collective domain. In their essay about Neapels, they
wrote about the porous duality between the inside and the outside, based on their
observations of the vibrant city. Works made by students of the class explore the fluid
thresholds between private and public, self and society. Their pieces offer fragments of lived
realities, quietly accompanying visitors like soft footsteps in a shared space in which the
private and the public animate an informal architecture.
